I have been mentally writing this post in my head for a while now. Thinking about how to transfer my many thoughts into words. It has been over a year since my last post and to say a lot has happened since then would be an understatement.
So fast forward to today, over a year later and I’m finally ready. So while I might not be completely ready to go back to my “blog twice a week” routine, I am ready to brush the dust off my creative side… baby steps right?
So what have I been up to since September 2015?
Visited my brother at MIT, he’s one smart cookie
Relaxed in Negril, Jamaica
Spent Spring Break with Aiden exploring Washington, D.C.
Went to New York City during one of their coldest Aprils
Got in some desert time in Scottsdale
Crossed an item off my Texas Bucket List at Hamilton Pool
Went hiking and fly fishing in Estes Park, Colorado
Felt super old at ACL but loved every minute
Celebrated my 36th birthday in London
And of course, just enjoying life in between these amazing moments. So welcome to “The Journey of Christine”. During my hiatus, I decided a new blog name and new layout was in order. It’s a work in progress so expect minor changes from time to time. I’m hoping to get into the swing of things in the near future but at the same time, blogging at a more leisurely pace might be exactly what I need (and want).
Will “The Journey of Christine” be different than “A Keane Sense of Adventure”? While I will still be blogging about my travels and posting my photographs, I’m hoping “The Journey of Christine” will have a different energy to it. I feel like I’m in a different place in my life now. I grew a lot as a person the last couple of years and in a more positive direction. I have a great support system around me and I can honestly say, I am happy.
So what do I have coming up in my journey? A trip to Italy is in the near future! We are heading to Milan, Venice and Florence… any must-see places and restaurant recommendations are welcome! I also have to find a place to move to by April/May which, to be honest, is stressing me out. But not everything can be magical trips to Europe (I wish!).
So here I am! Hopefully, you will be hearing from me again next week. I have to stay, this felt really good and I’m glad I’m back!
