One of the most beautiful parts of the city is Old Town. Old Town is one of the best preserved city centers in Europe and in 1997, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Shortly after arriving in Salzburg, I spent the afternoon exploring my surroundings. I grabbed a quick bite to eat at a nearby farmers market and then made my way to Getreidegasse, one of Salzburg’s most busy (and prettiest) streets. It is line with restaurants, shops and the house at Getreidegasse 9 is the place where Mozart was born and lived until the age of 17.
