I am planning on going to Europe sometime this Spring, and possibly again in the Fall. I’m super excited to go back to my favorite continent after a long hiatus. While I know for sure I want to make Munich a stop, the rest of my stops are up in the air right now.

How can you not want to visit Italy? All the history, art, beautiful countryside, amazing food, I can go on and on, but for me, my number one spot in Italy would be to visit the Cinque Terre. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to see The Colosseum and Leaning Tower of Pisa but I wouldn’t be able to leave Italy without seeing Manarola and all the other small towns that make up the Cinque Terre.
2 | Cliffs of Moher, Ireland

I visited Dublin back in 2012 but I didn’t get a chance to venture away from the city. Visiting the Cliffs of Moher definitely gives me a reason to go back to Ireland one day. Next time around, I want to rent a car so I can drive on the wrong side of the road around the beautiful countryside and visit all the quaint small towns.
3 | Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany

Like I mentioned earlier, I am heading to Munich this Spring and Rothenburg isn’t that far away. I really want to add this super cute town (think Pinocchio) to my itinerary but at the same time, I don’t want to overload my trip either. I might have to find a way to make this visit work!
Update: Rothenburg was definitely worth the visit! Check out Part I and Part II!
4 | Lake Como, Italy

When I think Lake Como, I think George Clooney. There’s a tour you can take around the lake and one of the spots they point out is his house on the lake. Who would have thought Dr. Doug Ross from ER would turn into this uber famous celebrity today. Either way, he has great taste in lake houses!
5 | Santorini, Greece

Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to go to Santorini. The amazing sunsets, the blue rooftops, I mean c’mon. It was always my computer desktop picture in high school and college, and for some weird reason, it’s still on my bucket list. I need to change that ASAP!
6 | Hallstatt, Austria

I am hoping to cross this one off my bucket list very soon. Hallstatt is not far from Munich and definitely made the cut for my Spring trip. Unless things changes, you will hopefully be reading a post about this picturesque town come springtime!
Update: Another town that lives up to its hype! You can check out my time in Hallstatt here, here and here!
7 | Dubrovnik, Croatia
Thank you HBO for putting this on my radar. I’m a huge Game of Thrones fans so visiting “King’s Landing” is definitely on my bucket list now. Honestly, I never thought about visiting Croatia, but I have come to realize that it is a gorgeous country!

8 | Venice, Italy
Like Santorini, Venice has been on my bucket list since forever. There’s no other city in the world like it with its many canals and romantic bridges. It’s the ultimate place to max out your memory card. I’m thinking I should visit Venice before it’s too late though!

While these are just the “highlights”, there are soooo many other cities and town I would love to visit (on all continents). And there are so many places I would love to see here stateside as well… Yosemite National Park, Monument Valley, just to name a few (check out my full list here). It just goes to show you how big the world really is and how there are so many different cultures around the world that we can learn from!
